The Backcountry Discovery Routes team was on the road again – this time in Idaho. As with previous projects, the aim was to unlock the potential of a US state for adventure bike riders. The result was a fully documented route across some of the most beautiful off-road sections of the Rocky Mountains.
We bid farewell to Alfonso and Maria, then set off for the long haul to Mazatlán, Sinaloa. We were warned that the ride would be straight and boring with lots of tolls. Boy, were there tolls!

The AZBDR is a 750-mile scenic ride across the state of Arizona, beginning at the Mexico border and finishing at the Utah border. The route consists of mostly remote dirt roads, that pass through iconic locations. Follow the link to learn more.
