By The Numbers: KTM's New 1190 Adventure


 

KTM's new 1190 Adventure, the eagerly awaited replacement for the Austrian brands popular adventure motorcycle - the 950/990 LC8 Adventure - features the latest in on and off-road riding technology. From its 148 horsepower liquid-cooled vertical twin, to its standard equipped traction control and off-road riding modes, the new 1190 Adventure was designed to compete with the other 1200cc powered ADV motorcycles on the market (BMW's water-cooled R1200GS, Triumph's Tiger 1200 Explorer, Ducati's Multistrada and Yamaha's XT1200Z Super Temere) continuing KTM's tradition of off-road ability mixed with on road agility. 

Comparing motorcycles can take a lot of time, so we've put together this short list, highlighting some of the most important information regarding KTM's new 1190 Adventure motorcycle.

Four traction control modes (Sport, Street, Rain & Off-Road) - as well as an option to turn it off.

Traction control uses lean information (similar to BMW's S1000RR).

Off-Road mode for the ABS that allows full rear-wheel locking.

Front and rear adjustable rebound dampening.
