Protect the light assembly on your R1200GS or GSA with the Touratech Steel Mesh Headlight Guard. This sturdy welded-steel grid protects headlight glass on the BMW R1200GS from rocks and debris.
The steel mesh grill is a great alternative to the clear plexi-type guards which tend to accumulate dust on both sides which reduces the light output quickly in off pavement riding conditions.

The Touratech Steel Mesh Guard mounts to the original blinker location on the R1200GS and GSA.
NOTE: If installing with Touratech blinkers, part# 044-0393, you will need to spread the arms on the headlight guard slightly to accomodate the blinker's thicker profile. You may also need to change to a 5mm longer screw.

On my GS 1200 ADV I have this light guard. It works well, and I like it better than the lexan one. The only issue is that you have to retighten the screws to keep if from flopping down. Once retightened and secure, it saved several headlights from cracking. I would consider it a standard item if you ride off road.

I installed it on my 1200gs. I can't lower the windshield all th way because it is in the way. This could be the wrong part?
