Our folding tip shift lever is supplied with a spring-loaded, machined aluminum folding tip to reduce damage during off-road riding when the bike may occasionally be tipped over or strike rocks and other foreign objects. The ability to fold protects the lever, shaft, and transmission from damage in light crashes. Constructed of steel and painted black with a heavy duty automotive lacquer. If it does get bent in a fall it can be easily straightened several times without compromising integrity.
