**Great bars, but some important notes should be added to the instructions!** Installed the bars over the weekend. They are very solid, and look great on the bike. They extend far enough to protect the tank, but are low enough that my (very long) legs don't touch them. There are two issues with the instructions, which led to me destroying an engine mounting bolt and nut. 1. The instructions say the left-top-rear mounting bolt should be spaced with 2 included washers. They don't mention that the spacer that is already on the bike (looks like a giant, thick washer) should not be used as well. Using all 3 of these was too much, and when torquing the bolt to spec I ran out of space and eventually stripped the nut and bolt. 2. The torque spec in the instructions (95 n/m, 70 ft/lb) is much higher than the Triumph service manual's spec (80 n/m, 60 ft/lb). I think this contributed to my stripping the bolt. If you end up like me and need a new bolt/nut, you can use a grade 8 standard or class 10.9 metric bolt and nut to save some cash. According to my Triumph dealer and the hardware store, these are hardened for automotive use and are more than strong enough. They only cost me ~$4. You could also order the parts from a Triumph dealer for ~$12. Some other installation tips: You can easily reach all the mounting bolt nuts with a small/medium sized spanner/wrench. You shouldn't need to remove the tank or radiator to install the bars. It can be a little difficult to get the bars onto the bolts and the bottom mount. Give things a good push and they'll fit. The rubber bottom mount in particular has a little give to help things fit. The cross bar might not seem to fit if you do both ends on the same side of the bars (e.g., both in front or both behind). It fit perfectly when I did one end in front of the bars, the other end in back.
