Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route DVD Trailer

Watch the exciting video trailer for the Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route expedition DVD.

The Colorado Backcountry Discovery Route, or COBDR, is a scenic driving route across the state of Colorado, from New Mexico to Wyoming, for dual-sport adventure motorcycles and 4x4 vehicles. This south-north route uses mostly un-paved backroads and will pass through a number of Colorado's iconic locations.

This exciting documentary gives you an in-depth look into the creation and first expedition of the COBDR. Follow a group of riders on large adventure touring motorcycles including KTM 990 Adventures, Yamaha Super Tenere XT1200Z,  and a BMW R1200GS, tackle some of the toughest terrain while traversing the beautiful Colorado backcountry.

I attended one of the premieres here in the Seattle area this week. I haven't seen the UTBDR DVD, but I own the WABDR DVD, and I find this one to be far superior. It is clear that Noren has hit his stride when it comes to the production style and quality. Where I see the WABDR DVD as an informational DVD that would likely be of little interest to anyone not intending to attempt the WABDR, I feel like the COBDR DVD would appeal to anyone, even if they didn't really have an interest in motorcycling. The color commentary is funny, the visuals are amazing, production quality is excellent, and they strike a good balance of showing the route and talking about the larger purpose of the BDR and what makes this and motorcycling and camping in general so fun. I should have bought this DVD at the premiere. Definitely recommend this DVD, even if you (like myself) have no plan to ride the COBDR.
