This shift lever replaces the stock shift lever and shift linkage on the DL1000 with a special folding tip lever that folds in when hit by a solid object, or in a fall, thus protecting your gearbox.
Easy to install. Just remove your stock shifter, and the existing shift linkage then replace with this simple shifter.
