The front opening is convenient too: The map can be put in easily. No need to fold the map several times. Fold it once and it will fit. Your maps will also remain intact much longer.

Clear on both sides. Clips to the crossbar with squeeze-buckles. If the map is folded properly, the buckles attachment allow it to flip over to continue your route.
