I bought this locking mount for my Garmin 60csx GPS to put on my BMW G650X. I used a RAM set-up to mount it to the handlebar. The mount works perfectly and has held onto the GPS during thousands of miles of off-road riding. The stock 4-pin power connection bolts into the Touratech mount which makes a secure power connection to the device. I like the way this mount locks with a key so I can leave the unit on the bike when going into a store or restaurant when I am out on the road. I have recently moved the 60csx to my new F800GS and used it on the bike all summer. The mount works great and is well constructed.

I have been using the first one of these mounts for 2 years and have been very pleased with it performance. I have it hard mounted to my KTM 640 with the KTM hard part road book holder. So far the vibes have not torn it apart. I was using a RAM cradle for the gps on my dirt bike but noticed that it was waring deep groves into the side of the gps. I just bought a second on Touratech mount with matched key to the first one, and now I will be using that on my smc and dirtbike by attaching it to a Ram arm so I can swap it back and forth. I am keeping the RAM cradle to use in my Jeep.

I have had this mounted on my Honda XR650L for about five years. I hardwired it to the bike's battery and it has performed flawlessly; hiway, trail riding, rain, snow etc. The four-pin connector power cable mounts securely making for a reliable connection to the GPS. The lock allows me to leave the bike without worrying that my GPS will get nicked. I was concerned that it's relatively complex design would fail over time with heavy-duty off-road use but it has proven very durable.

I switched from a RAM mount to a locking Touratech mount for my street bike because I was tired of having to take my gps with me every time I got off my bike to get a burrito from Taco Bell. With this mounted, I can go get a burrito and be back on the road in no time.

This mount has been on my DR650 since 2007 and continues to protect my 60Cx when I left on my RTW trip in 2010 (JamminGlobal.com). It's worked flawlessly over these years and even after a few falls where the mount got banged up a bit, the locking still works and keeps my GPS secure. I really like the mount for the plug into the GPS; it makes for an assured connection. I have it mounted directly to my handlebar and have had no issues with vibration coming into the GPS unit, thanks to the design using rubber bushings and springs. It's money well worth spent for peace of mind for an important piece of equipment :)
