Pretty straightforward mounting. The oil cooler looks vulnerable so figured it wouldn't hurt to add an oil cooler guard mostly because I ride off-road. Never have seen or heard of an oil cooler being damaged. Since the guard limits some cooling airflow not sure that's worth the trade-off in protection? Instructions do mention to be mindful of increased temps during extreme riding conditions.
