Well, I finally got these last night after being on the waiting list for what felt like forever. I'm a little let down to be honest. I've never seen uglier welds before. Not sure if TT is just cranking these out as fast as they can and quality is being overlooked? For something that is intended to protect my bike, and for the price, I would expect the welds to be uniform. Also, I wish they offered them in black! Every F800GS has a black frame, it just makes the bike unfinished with bare aluminum crash bars. Oh Well, the first thing I did today was drop them off at the powder coater. I did bolt them on before hand to make sure they fit alright. On the plus side, the install is straight forward and they fit great. 3*'s only because of the sloppy welds and lack of black option.
