It remains to be seen how these caliper covers work out but after just putting them on, I'm a bit concerned. First, one of the heads on the hex screw/bolts was poorly defined so it was essentially stripped--the correct hex bit would not work on it (and worked perfectly on the matching screw for the other side) so I had to improvise with lots of pressure and other tools. More importantly, the covers clip on with tension clamps and while the shape of the cover fits the caliper frame closely, it's not perfect. So there's a 1 - 2.5mm gap at the top where the cover meets the frame. I'm not expecting water tight, but it does mean water is going to get in there and accumulate. The covers will need to be popped off daily if you're riding in rain or doing stream crossings. Essentially, contact protection comes at the expense of potential damage from long term condensation/moisture on the caliper components.

The covers are touted as a way to keep debris from getting into the open back side of the assembly. However, the earlier reviewer is right about the gap between the cover and brake assembly--all sorts of small debris can get through there. The cover would fit snuggly except that the tension clamps hold the cover away from contact with the assembly. As it is, the piece pivots and teeter-totters when you press one end then the other. I believe that if a GASKET were provided to seal the gap, or if the tension clamps were more manufactured more precisely, the covers could be very effective. At this time, however, they are more like expensive aesthetic pieces than anything else.
