Engine sumpguard in kevlar carbon fiber for the R1150GS (not for Adventure) mounts directly to the bottom of the engine in place of the stock guard. Aerospace grade 3mm thick kevlar carbon fiber provides protection that is stronger and more rigid than stainless or aluminum at a fraction of the weight (weighs about 1 pound). Thanks to the excellent heat resistance and dispersion qualities of the kevlar carbon fiber weave this sumpguard not only protects the engine but also helps keep it cool by preventing heat buildup.
Sumpguard bolts on in minutes to existing bolt holes and and can be used with Touratech crash bars for maximum protection. Sumpguard will not dent, bend or deform like some metal guards can.
