The R1150GS stands much more firmly even on a soft surface with this kick stand support extension. If you park the motor bike in a meadow or other soft surface such as sand or hot asphalt, you don't have to look for a small stick or rock.

R1150RT retrofit this using a Dremel grinding bit for the intermediate plate at the B - C interface line, and also, for the distal end of the top plate. Also, drilled the aft edge to accomodate a 6th screw, and needed to put in a 45 degree counter sink into the bottom to make the screw flush with the bottom surface. Just took an hour, before Nemo the Blizzard of 2013 hit us in NY! I could have chosen the R1200RT Large Sidestand Foot, but, I wanted to make a statement. It does look quite sexchy under all of that dark metal on my '04 1150RT.
