I LOVE these tanks on my R1200GS. The bike will hold exactly 10.3 gal of useable fuel. I run with 1 gallon in each side and just use the stock tank for riding around town. I like the extra 2 gallons as an easy reserve for when stopping at a gas station isn't convienient. On long trips I will top up the side tanks and never worry about gas.
