I have crashed by bike way too many times with these on. I have never broken a lever or handguard. The white guard looks really sweet on my red R1200GS with the red spoiler added on too.

I took the regular hand guards that cam with my GSA and installed these. Not only do they compliment the bike but they actually hold really nice in the event of dropping your bike or hitting some barks. This is not a necessity to have but will give a very nice look to your bike with functionality, just make sure you ask for the fairing that mounts on top to give you the complete look and additional hand protection.

Nice product but there are no specific instructions for my 2005 BMW R1200GS. I had to call tech support to know how to mount the inner brackets. The 2008 & later models require the inner brackets with the large tabs mounted up (as shown on the .pdf instructions) while the 2007 and earlier needs to have the large tabs mounted down. There is nothing to note that! After much trial and error, they look and perform great.
