F800GS Headlight Guard Overview

This brief video describes the features and benefits of the Touratech Quick Release Headlight Guard for the BMW F800GS, F700Gs, and F650GS Twin

The Touratech quick-release headlight guard gives you all the protection of our original steel headlight guard for the BMW F 800 GS, F 700 GS and F 650 GS twin, but allows you to quickly remove the guard for cleaning.

Touratech headlight guards are laser cut from the highest quality stainless steel, then powder coated black for a tough and good looking finish. The headlight guards grid allows ample light to pass through, but deflects rocks and debris thrown by passing riders or cars. The stainless-steel construction is strong enough to withstand the hardest hits, and save you from costly repairs to the expensive headlight assembly.

The quick release design of this headlight guard makes it fast and easy to clean the bugs and dust from your headlight when you stop for a fuel break. Simply just pull the guard away from the bike and it will click out of its mount. To reinstall, simply snap the guard back into its quick-release sockets; easy to do, even while wearing gloves.

It's easy to install and styled to match the aggressive lines of the BMW F800GS, F700GS, and F650GS (twin).  Get one before you have to buy a headlight assembly too!

This is a good product to protect the headlight from road debris or specially for those who ride off-road. This a quick release version, which means you can easily remove the front guard (not the side mounts) to access your headlight. This is specially useful when cleaning the headlights. However, the same feature does not seem to be well designed to handle vibrations. There are four plastic quick release pins that hold the guard with the help of 4 rubber caps. On my bike, two of these caps fell off within 2 weeks of riding (total 600 miles). I fortunately noticed it in time, which otherwise may have caused the guard to fall off while riding.
