Touratech Crash Bars for the BMW R1200GS offer the ultimate in engine protection. Engineered to tranfer impact force to the strongest parts of the chassis, the Touratech Crash Bars protect the cylinder heads and engine case from impact ensuring that your motorcycle trip continues on as planned.
Touratech Crash Bars are precision crafted from high quality 25mm (1") stainless steel. The stainless material ensures that these bars will never show signs of rust or corrosion.
The design employs a heavily braced cross-connect bar which creates a robust structure to protect the engine. The stainless steel bars are bead blasted and electro polished for a refined finish that compliments the overall look of the bike.

I got the Touratech crash bars installed on my R1200GS before riding it to Alaska this summer. The installation was straight forward and they came with eveything I needed to bolt them straight on. The welds are very clean and the bars have a nice bead blasted finish. I love how the bike looks with the bars on it. They wrap around the cylindar heads providing good protection, but don't stick out too far. I did drop the bike on a rocky section of road and the bars totally protected the cylinder head and didn't even show scratches on the bar. The bars are very solid and I would recommend them to others for the R1200GS.

These bars look great and install SUPER quick. I was surprised that it only added about 10 minutes total to my valve adjustment procedure. A small price to pay for more complete protection.

Nice! Straightforward install. Solid mounting, slim profile and nice brushed stainless finish! Also really adds to the bike's appearance.

These bars have paid for themselves 100 times over by saving my engine from crash dammage. The install is simple enough and they are STRONG. I bent one bar in a hard crash on a muddy road but I was able to buy a single replacment side and get everything back to new.

I can attest that my R12GS has been an extremely rugged bike after I added these bar years ago!
