The single cylinder BMW 650GS can be a fully capable long-distance touring bike with the right ergonomic setup. Adding a Touratech comfort seat is the single biggest improvement you can make to your motorcycle. Designed specifically for long miles, Touratech seats use the highest quality materials and proven designs to make sure you stay comfortable and focused on the road ahead.
The stock seat is made of foam that is too soft, and is not shaped as ergonomically as it should be for long distance riding, creating 'hot spots' and pressure points. Touratech seats eliminate all these problems for long distance touring by using a firm, high-quality foam and tested ergonomic shape for the maximnum long distance comfort.
Some taller riders may have noticed the ergonomics of the G650GS and F650GS are a bit cramped for long legs. Adding a high, or extra high seat along with lowered footpegs and bar risers can open up the geometry of your bike, taking the strain off your knees, back, and shoulders. For those who want to have two feet firm on the ground when stopped, we offer a low seat.
