Since the 376C was discontinued, the 276C is once again the king of plotting GPS receivers. It is still our #1 choice for off-road and Round-the-World travel.
With the rechargable Li-Ion internal battery, you can leave the AA batteries at home! The battery will charge automatically anytime the unit is connected to external power. You can expect about 7 hours of battery life before a recharge is needed.
The 276C can use any of the Garmin datacards for map and waypoint storage. A 128M datacard will let you load nearly all of 7 to 10 states with high resolution detail. Most customers opt for the 512MB card.
The 276C power cord design which allows two serial port connections, sound output and connections for power. The USB port allows fast transfers of data and maps from your PC.
For road bike use we recommend RAM mount GRSP3H. For mounting on a handlebar crossbar of a dual sport or dirt bike, we recommend the Touratech locking mount 065-0087. For serious off-road and rough dual-sport use, we recommend the Touratech locking mount 065-0088 which has extra soft suspension.
