With its rugged waterproof case, extra bright touchscreen, strong satellite reception, and tracking capabilities the Montana 600 GPS is equipped to take you on any motorcycle adventure, on-road or off. The Garmin Montana 600 is a great GPS unit for taking on an off-road trek like a Backcountry discovery route, or for attending an off-road rally with organized rides such as the Touratech rally.
The Montana 600 features a bold 4 in. color touchscreen dual orientation display and supports multiple mapping options like BirdsEye Satellite Imagery, BlueChart g2 and TOPO U.S. 24K. Montana has key features for the outdoors such as a 3-axis tilt-compensated compass and barometric altimeter. It's tough. It earned the name Montana.
Montana 600 features a vast 4 in., sunlight-readable touchscreen display that offers crystal clear enhanced colors and displays high-resolution images. Its easy-to-use interface means you'll spend more time enjoying the outdoors and less time searching for information. Both durable and waterproof, Montana 600 is built to withstand the elements. Bumps, dust, dirt, humidity and water are no match for this rugged navigator. No matter the setting - on the boat, in the RV or on your motorcycle - Montana is right at home.
With its high-sensitivity, WAAS-enabled GPS receiver and HotFix satellite prediction, Montana 600 locates your position quickly and precisely and maintains its GPS location even in heavy cover and deep canyons. The advantage is clear - whether you're in deep woods or just near tall buildings and trees, you can count on Montana 600 to help you find your way when you need it the most.
Montana 600 has a built-in 3-axis tilt-compensated electronic compass, which shows your heading even when you're standing still, without holding it level. Its barometric altimeter tracks changes in pressure to pinpoint your precise altitude, and you even can use it to plot barometric pressure over time, which can help you keep an eye on changing weather conditions.
Montana 600 features a one-of-a-kind dual battery system. You'll have the option of using the rechargeable lithium-ion pack or traditional AA batteries - whichever suits your needs better.
Garmin Montana 600 GPS Motorcycle Mounting Options:
For mounting the Montana 600 on your motorcycle, you can use the RAM mount system along with the Garmin AMPS cradle, or for a more rugged, lockable approach, the Touratech locking mount along with a specialized adapter for your specific motorcycle is the best solution. If you would like a complete kit for mounting to your motorcycle, look at our Montana GPS packages.
NOTE: This unit does not come pre-loaded with any map software, only very basic road maps. For city street navigation with points of interest, we highly recommend purchasing additional City Navigator software. For off-road navigation, we recommend adding TOPO 100k software.
