Modifying a TOURATECH Pannier set for R1150R.

    If you have any doubts about your ability to install the spoiler, please contact a professional installer.

    • Synopsis

    With some minor welding, the R1150GS pannier set can be adapted to the R1150R.

    The ONLY set we have information on is the 052-2010.


    1) Weld tabs onto the rack.

    2) Fabricate a straight crossbar for the rear.

    3) Install the mini-blinkers.

    No permanent modification of the bike was required.



    Side brackets needed material added to the foot peg mount along with a new hole drilled.

    Also need to fabricate the straight rear crossbar shown in the picture.

    Close-up of the welded modification. This material can be cut off to restore the rack (to fit GS models again).


    Evap canister had to be moved down using longer bolt and spacer

    Need to fabricate a "straight" rear crossbar for the R1150R.

    Mini indicators for rear.

    Loaded for bear.
