A dirty air filter can suck much-needed horsepower from your motorcycle, or even restrict airflow and keep it from running correctly. Factory air filters on the Tenere 700 are mostly intended for road use, so adding this pre-filter will decrease the amount of dust and grime that makes its way into the combustion chamber. When this happens, you may even experience a blown motor.
Rather than losing some of your Tenere's 74 horses, pick up this pre-filter and some cleaner to bring on your adventure. Every few hundred (or thousand) miles, clean, oil, and re-attach the prefilter to keep your bike breathing as healthy as possible.
You wouldn't stand in a dust storm without a mask, so why would you put your bike through one without a pre-filter!
